Bike ride Chardon, Ohio
Hello All,
I hope you are enjoying the July 4th Holiday weekend. Charlie and I wanted do something fun and different today so we threw the bikes in the car (yes, in- not on) and drove to a bike path in Chardon.
(Some of you may know that Chardon is in the heart of the snow-belt and is infamous for being buried in snow- a couple of years ago Chardon received over 7 feet of snow in one storm-but this is a beautiful time of year there!). We packed our lunch and planned on eating it at our destination-a small lake 8 miles down the trail. It was such a scenic route with farmland, streams, and meadows, and we even passed an Amish horse and buggy at an intersection. It was a fun day, we spent time outdoors and had a good workout!
We had been here a couple of years ago but had no idea that this picnic shelter was recently added. They even added a ranger station where you could grab a kayak to use free of charge. |
We miss you all, wish we were closer! You know if you ever want to visit, there are some interesting things to do in Ohio! |
