She's dreaming of a white Christmas
Believe it or not, this photo was taken in Atlanta last winter. Looks like Wyoming, right? Did I already mention how cute this dog is?
This looks like trouble...
or maybe just a lot of fun! Bobby, Patrick, and Scotty had a big time at the Tampa Bay Bucs game recently. Scotty was a terrific host -- he took the old fellas around to his favorite spots and introduced them to his friends. Apparently Scotty is a good golfer, too!

How cute is this dog?!
Sunday dinner with Matt & Amanda
Matt and Amanda came over for dinner last Sunday. They brought along their dating partners, so we had enough people for lively dinner discussion and yahtzee. Amanda's boyfriend, Brian, is her age and looking for colleges right now. He's interested in medicine. Amanda is still undecided, but we're trying to get her to combine two of her interests - photography and SCUBA diving. Why not underwater photography? There's gotta be a niche in the market for that, right?
We had a wonderful evening. It's been such a pleasure to watch them grow up and have these young adults come over without parental coercion! They are beautiful, kind, and considerate young people. Come down to visit! You'll love seeing them.
YAHTZEE!
Apparently the Noonan clan has a fondness for Yahtzee. I had no idea that my favorite game is also Betsy's specialty. I got Matt and Amanda hooked now, too. Matt has graduated from school and is currently job hunting. His girlfriend Christina is smart and creative, too. She's working as a photographer now.

Dinner in Cincy with Grace
Patrick and I took a road trip through the midwest recently. We went to Jessica's wedding (see photos below), then swung through Cincinnati to see Grace. We had a big "hoot" as they say in the midwest.
Chilly visit with Gray Gray
It was snowing when we got to Cincinnati. I loved it! Everyone else was complaining, though, probably because they weren't going back to good ole Hot-lanta the next day.
Grace showed us around the downtown, which is really charming, and then we grabbed a bite to eat. When you spend time with Grace you will be amazed at how smart and mature she is -- when did these kids grow up? I still remember her trying to drop her little brother on his head and regularly defying all adult recommendations. Remember her antics at Squam Lake? She was a character then and still is now. Was great to spend some time with her in Cincy. Go visit her - you'll enjoy it.
Is that Drew Brees in my hotel?
As you may know, I'm a big football fan. I know, I know, it's inconsistent with my job as a violence prevention specialist. But who cares? I saw Drew Brees! The New Orleans Saints, the defending Super Bowl Champions, were staying in our hotel when we stopped in Cincinnatti to see Grace. As you can imagine, there was lot of commotion with all the fans (the "Who Dat Nation") running around and the players trying to sneak by unnoticed. Patrick and I found this NFL frenzy to be quite energizing and we've decided to go see a few road games next year. Who would like to join us? We're hoping to hit Soldier Field in Chicago, Foxborough, and (someday) the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. We're also open to other suggestions. Tampa Bay games are really fun, too.
Noonan family members at Jessica's wedding
Pat and I drove to Jessica's wedding in Champaign, IL. It wasn't a bad drive (9 hours), especially when your brother won't let you drive and you get to talk on the phone, look out the window, and listen to music. It was fun!
The night before the ceremony Jessica hosted a dinner for ~ 20 people. She is quite a cook! Her meatballs are memorable; I recommend all of you send her a wedding card with a self-addressed, stamped envelope asking for that recipe! Here's her address if you'd like to send a card:
1727 Park Haven Drive
Champaign, IL. 61820
Her husband, Pat, is a tremendously talented artist who specializes in large figurative paintings (yes, that's code for nudes). His work is so impressive, both for its beautiful technical style and the artistic messages embedded in each piece. I think he'll be famous some day. Stay tuned!
Posing for Pics after the Ceremony
Jessica's Wedding
Everyone was happy on Dec 3rd...even the dog! Jessica and Pat tied the knot in their own home, which created a very beautiful, intimate atmosphere. It was so nice to see her all grown up and happy. Her husband Pat is a real gem, too.

NOONSKI, COACH OF THE YEAR
Noonski showed up expecting to be named coach of the year at an undisclosed Eastern European Institution of Moderate to Semi- Higher Education, and found instead, that he would be stripped of his classic tennis racquet and sent to Siberia without undue delay. Noonski observed, "This doesn't look like a promotion to me."
