A LETT ER TO MOMMY



Afew days ago Iwas cleaning my closet. Ifound a shoe box of old cards and letters. Much to my surprise, they were dated from 1966.in Boston and many people sent me their good wishes. One particular letter was from Betsy who was 8 years old at that time. Here is the original letter.

I remember those days when Moe was away in Boston-I did miss her!
Anyway, I guess I was never that good at picking "friends"-even back then they were calling me names and insulting me!!

Poor kid! Why does everyone think little kids are so sweet? We have to drum the meanness out of them through lots of socialization and punishment. They would be wild animals if we left them in their natural-born state.

But, a very well written letter for an 8-year-old. I was still telling Santa to get food out of the refriggeraiter at that age...
