THE FOOTNOTES

Actually, this wind could have done a service to all. The tree fell over during a thunderstorm yesterday. It came from the edge of the property next door, and because it fell in the direction it did, it fell short of our house. It was plain to see that the lower part of the tree had rotted out, and I guess it didn't take much to knock it over. It could have fallen anytime, from the looks of it. Good thing the people next door didn't have it land on them when they were out in the yard.
