RITA, THE WORKER

Rita put in a lot of work on the old Tolland Plantation this weekend. First she mowed the lawn, then planted flowers around the Madonna and the rose bush which young Bob had planted for Moe's birthday. She left instructions for old Bob to add mulch to complete the job. Old Bob will hop right on it--maybe not hop, exactly, but will get it done-- more than likely.

Then she weeded the hosta (is that how it is spelled?) to prevent the potato plants from encroaching further. The potato plants sprouted first in the kitchen, and were transplanted outside by Old Bob who felt guilty about wasting them. Besides, there was a place outside which was easy to dig, so it was not a major exertion for him.

The place is beginning to look inhabited.
