THE FOOTNOTES

We had a very pleasant week end. On Saturday, Pat, Melissa, and Chris were here. On Sunday morning, Bob, Gail, Mara, Pat and Jessica were at breakfast with us at the Track Nine Diner.

Following breakfast, we all went to UCONN to meet Jessica's friend, Patrick, who is a grad student who teaches and studies art. Patrick gave us a tour of the studio suite which was very interesting. It is at the Mansfield Depot campus, separate from the university. The artists apparently are involved a form of art research. Patrick's specialty is in painting, with a psychological emphasis on what is being portrayed. Very provocative stuff.

Jessica, who graduated from Syracuse University, is a UCONN grad student in Art History where she studies, and teaches.

Melissa will graduate from the University of Hartford in May. She will be a special education teacher.

Chris is a Junior in Simsbury High School.
