Ohio Goes Blue, Finally!!
For the first time since we have lived in Ohio (about 15 years, hard to believe) we have a Democratic governor. The news said it had been 16 years since the last Democratic governor. The newly elected governor, Strickland, easily beat Ken Blackwell. Blackwell is well known in Ohio, and probably across the U.S. as well, for the role he played in allowing voting difficulties in Cleveland during the 2004 Presidential election. He himself is a black man, a Republican black man, and a disgrace. The outgoing gov was found guilty of many ethics violations. Another congressman (Republican) from southern Ohio will be on his way to jail soon since he was found guilty of fraud.
We now also have a Democratic congressman in the Akron area, the incumbent had been around for about 6 years and was reasonably respected, his problem was that he was affiliated with the wrong political party when this wave came through! With the Democrats in majority in the House and Senate, let's hope one of the first orders of business is impeaching that wreckless cowboy!

I was holding my breath during the 2004 presidential election hoping Ohio ... not Florida would be the state in the spotlight. Too bad Ohio made the same mistake Florida made in 2000. Maybe Ohio Democrats will lead the nation in making needed changes.
Paul-should I be particularly insulted that you're not particularly disappointed in me? Just kidding. I was hoping my statements would get you blogging.
Please put some wedding pictures on (or was it just a rumor that I heard you got married?).
