MORE ADVENTURES OF BOB, THE TRUCK DRIVER
More fun with Bob, the soda truck driver;
It's Christmas week, can't remember the year,
and Bob has a delivery to make to a third floor bowling alley in downtown Bristol. Can't find a parking spot, so parks in front of the alley, blocking one lane of traffic. Makes the laborious third floor delivery,comes back to the truck which has an unimaginary lengthy line of cars backed up behind it.
Bob hears shouts such as "kill that expletive driver." Bob thought it best to depart post haste(which means in a hurry)
BOB THE TRUCK DRIVER
One road to Southington from Waterbury is down a mountain, and there is Bob driving a loaded soda truck down that mountain. Bob has very little experience driving any truck, let alone a loaded soda truck. About half way down, the truck pops out of gear and has only brakes to control it. Brakes aren't enough in that situation. As the truck begins to roll faster, fast thinking Bob manages to get it into a low gear and get down the mountain safely.
When finished his deliveries, he drove back to the bottling plant and told the other drivers what happened on the mountain.
"You didn't go down that mountain with a loaded truck did you?" Was their response.
"Yeah, I did", Bob said---adding "now you tell me Thanks a lot!"
