MOE CONTINUES HER RECOVERY
Moe continues to recover from her operation. Thanks to Mary and Peggy, she gets excellent nursing care. I could not have given her the care she needed by myself. This walk was sort of a landmark for her.
. Following this work out, we went to a Dunkin Donuts in Stafford where Moe entered a restaurant for the first time in months. She had a little coffee, and a bit of a donut, establishing the fact that she is back in the outside world.
Today we go to therapy to continue
the recovery.

YOU DON'TSUPPOSE..................
YOU DON’T
SUPPOSE………………..
The guy in
the line in the
supermarket was talkative,
so we talked
as I have
been known to do on
occasion. I got
around to the matter of
Moe’s illness, as you
might have suspected,
and I pontificated as
follows:
“I
don’t go to
church, so I
don’t want you to join
my church, but
I am a
spiritually oriented person.
In fact, I
talk with the
Virgin Mary every
night and ask
for intervention----I figure
she knows HIM
better than I
do.” A little
humor, there. A
smile from my
audience.
“You
can laugh if
you want at my
naivete, but I
have had answers
to prayers on
three occasions.” He
didn’t laugh. “ So
maybe I have
created a relationship with the
almighty.” He was still
attentive.
“About
three months before the
onset of my
wife’s illness, which
was totally unexpected, two of our adult
daughters came to
live with us temporarily.
One is an
RN, and the
other an LPN,
two nurses. What
decision maker placed
them in the
one spot where
their presence became
absolutely imperative to
their mother and to
me when their
mother was stricken?
Who could have known?
The right
place a the right time with
no apparent reason .
I would be totally
unable to care for
my wife in
her recuperation if
on my own
but they were both on the scene,
and ready to
serve. What do
you think about
that?”
He replied
that it looked like
divine intervention to him.
Exactly what I
think!
Sometime
when you finally
realize you don’t
know or control
everything, you might
try invoking powers
you don’t understand!
I did.
