A FOOT OR SO

Lots  of  snow  last  night.  I  tried to get a picture  before daylight ,  but  got  only  one good one.
Thank  heavens  we  have  a  plow  guy.  Snow  gets  tougher  all  the  time.

Merry Christmas from Ohio!

Yes, it's a winter wonderland-ok it's a blizzard.

We had a nice Christmas yesterday and because of the bad weather today all plans were cancelled-so today was a bonus in that we were able to spend another day together- I guess you could call it a snow day.

Grace arrived on Saturday from Minneapolis and will stay until Saturday. She had planned to drive to Cincinnati today to visit friends but because of the storm, she will postpone that trip. Andy was supposed to return to Columbus today for work in the restaurant but as it turns out he wasn't needed and will hang out here for a couple of more days.

Sounds like Christmas in CT was nice- I'm sorry we couldn't be part of the celebration this year, maybe next year.

Charlie makes a mission of finding a beautiful Christmas tree each year. This year's tree may be one of the nicest we've had. We will enjoy it for another week or so!

Happy New Year to all!!

BAD WEATHER PUTS FENCE IN BARN

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER=SEE ABOVE

We are expecting high winds tonight and tomorrow morning====Therefore, the bottle fence has to be moved into the shed that Mike built. Because of superior engineering and prudent planning, dismantling the fence is not a difficult or very time consuming chore. As you can see, each section, or what I call "bay", can be removed as a unit, and placed on the rack in the shed which was built for the purpose. It is orderly, and when the weather has improved, the bottle fence is easily restored. We are experimenting with a variety of bottles and reflective elements to be encased in the bottles. So far, CD's are the stars of the show---as they turn in the sun they exhibit brilliant colors, and not the silver you would expect.

FAMILY HISTORY BOOK

The  blog is  essentially a record of  family , people, and events,    Before  the  current  Footnotes,  there  was  (and is)  Noonskitheelder.   It is  available  at:   http://noonsktheelder.blogspot.com.
for  your  viewing  pleasure,  as  they  might  have  said in  your   trite  class.   That  blog  dates  to  2006,  and  believe me,  there have  been   some  alterations,  perhaps  mutations,  or  perhaps  you would prefer  to  say,"changes."

Anything   going  on  your  life  currently?  If  so,  get it  on the  blog or risk  its  being  forgotten  over time.

Strike Three! Twins beat the Braves! You Bastard!

Oh boy. You thought Moe was pissed. Pat still hasn't let go of something that happened circa 1971. Apparently, poor little Patrick (who was a very cute boy with freckles) was up at bat and Jerry Burnham, a local umpire and odd character with a speech impediment (and who, btw, was not cute and did not have freckles), called a "strike" when it was CLEARLY NOT. (That's Pat's voice there, except he said something about Jerry reproducing with himself and shouldn't be repeated here). It was a close game and the Little League team The Braves lost to The Twins because of this one stupid, erroneous call. Patrick is reenacting the play here for your viewing pleasure at the original site of the crime - Lavitt Field on South River Road.
I mean, Come on, Man! Does that look like a strike to you? It's a ball! A ball! A ball, you @#%%^$ bastard!!
