Moe and Bobby at Dad's Party
Dad's Birthday Party
You can tell Dad was having a blast at this party -- just look at him! And, that was before he had a few cocktails.
Bob in the Gardens
Gardens & horse carriages
Quebec City is a very civilized place. After your 5-course dinner, you should stroll through the gardens, stop for a drink, and then watch a film depicting QC's history, projected out on some pillars in the St. Lawrence Seaway. It's a very European evening! Bob and I followed this tres magnifique itinerary....here is the garden.
Chateau Frontenac
This is the famous hotel that hovers over the St. Lawrence Seaway. It's a little pricey (~$400/night), but it's in the heart of the old (walled) city. The old city is so well preserved that it almost feels like Epcot. If you plan to go, be prepared to walk a LOT.

Moose Sighting
We finally figured out where all the moose are hiding in Rangeley -- right down the road from our house! We saw 5 moose one night within a mile or two of our house. This big fella made the most memorable impression, though. He stood his ground and snorted at us. These animals are gigantic, like big leggy bulls. They're taller than I expected.
View from the Fire Tower
This is the view from the Fire Tower, just down the road from our lake house. It's about a 45 minute hike -- look at the great reward for a relatively small investment of your time! It was also one of the few places where you could get phone reception...
Sun bathing in Maine -- you need a sweatshirt! This particular property (Stocker House) has a great waterfront.
