THEY'RE BACK!
The croccusses, perhaps it is crocci, are up early again this year. Maybe there is hope for humanity, after all. As for the spelling, I'm sicx of looking it up--you do it if is important to you.

Pat & Paul at Super Bowl Party
Pat and Paul came over last Sunday for my Super bowl party. My girlfriends thought they were adorable, especially when they sat next to each other and made the same expressions during the game! I'm glad I live near them.
Vannie the Hunter
Joeys' favorite spot at Murphy Candler Park
This is where Joey used to love terrorizing ducks at our favorite park. He'd disappear into this wetland chasing the wildlife, only to get lured into the larger lake where the mother ducks would coax him into long swims by dragging their wings in the water pretending to be injured. They made him criss cross the entire lake several times -- I think they were trying to kill him. This brilliant strategy always worked to get him away from the babies. Joey, the knucklehead, never caught on.
Sticky Snow
This was the kind of snow that made perfect snowballs and stuck to the trees. This is a little trail right inside my neighborhood.
Atlanta Snow Storm
For southerners, this was a joyous event. Many of us got out of work early and went straight to the grocery store to stock up. I've never seen Kroger alive with so many happy people! They were crammed in the aisles, cart to cart, whistling, chatting with strangers, and letting people roll right over their toes without so much as a grumble. Very interesting social phenomenon.
Looking like a wolf model!
Doesn't she look like she should be on the cover of Defenders of Wildlife? Vannie was thrilled with the recent snow storm here in Atlanta.
Just like Sonny Jones
Vannie likes to look out the front window. She's there looking for me every afternoon when I get home from work. If I sneak home early, I notice she's not there yet -- dogs have very good internal clocks.
Sunroom
This is where I spend most of my time these days. I like to look out the back window to see all the birds. Vannie does, too.
Deco Bar
Way in the back by the window you can see an art deco bar I just bought. If you come to visit, I'll make you a martini!
Redecorating my living room
After much consternation (and picking the wrong paint color), I'm learning to live with the room like this. I'm not done yet, but thought you might like to sneak a peek.

AND A HAI KU OR TWO,TO YOU
You tell me I am old.
Funny, I never noticed.
I guess you are right.
Now that I am old,
I will act accordingly.
I will play the part.
Now it seems I've aged.
You will have to wait on me.
Am I better off?
Funny, I never noticed.
I guess you are right.
Now that I am old,
I will act accordingly.
I will play the part.
Now it seems I've aged.
You will have to wait on me.
Am I better off?
